Schöftland (AG): Eiffage has obtained building permit for new train station
In Schöftland (AG), a building with 7,773 sqm of space, including 352 sqm of retail space and 1,093 sqm of usable space for offices, is to be constructed on Bahnhofstrasse. The largest portion will be residential space, with 2,768 sqm.
Eiffage is planning a service, commercial, and residential building with underground parking on a 2,514 m² site at the train station in the municipality of Schöftland (AG). In addition, the agglomeration program of the canton of Aargau envisages expanding the Schöftland bus station into an intermodal hub. The bus and train operator Aargau Verkehr AG (AVA) is expected to occupy part of the rental space on the ground floor and first floor. The six-story new building will contain around 34 modern residential units and 32 indoor parking spaces (plus 70 parking spaces for bicycles), which are designed for singles, young couples, and small families who work in Aarau or the agglomeration. The apartments are also designed for older couples or single people. The facilities include floor-level showers. A connection to the Schöftland district heating network, which is mainly powered by wood chips, is planned. The location is Bahnhofstrasse.
According to the municipality of Schöftland, the building permit was issued a few days ago. The floor space of the project is 7,773 square meters, of which 352 square meters are intended for retail and 1,093 square meters for office use. The residential portion covers an area of 2,768 square meters. (aw)
